How does it work?

  • This training course is held in groups of 8 to 10 participants and is completed in various stages.
    • Stage 1 – Intake
      • Intake interview with the company (HR manager, client).
      • Intake interview (via telephone) with each participant.
    • Stage 2 – Training. This stage consists of two parts:
      • Part 1: Providing practical insights regarding the problem of absenteeism, how to conduct return-to-work interviews, and communication tips and techniques. Part 1 can be completed in one full day or in half a day.
      • Part 2: Skills (1/2 day). In-depth practical exercises in small groups (4 or 5 participants) on the various types of return-to-work interviews, as well as the different styles and techniques available. These role-play exercises involve a professional actor and take place under the supervision of the instructor. Dividing the group from part 1 into two smaller groups and making the participants feel as secure and confident as possible minimises the threshold, maximises personal feedback and makes the participants feel comfortable throughout the session.
    • Stage 3 – Follow-up
      • Feedback includes key areas of focus for each participant. The individual plan of action drawn up by each participant can also be monitored by the company.
    • Participants receive a syllabus, highlighting various topics based on:
      • the philosophy and definitions set out by Certimed (formerly Mensura Absenteeism);
      • the experience of professional instructors;
      • available literature on absenteeism, discussion techniques, leadership, HR methods.

    • The training session offers a very practical approach and is not just a discourse.
    • The course is specifically designed to address the issues experienced by the group and by the participants individually, based on the information obtained during the in-depth intake interviews.

Result

  • The various techniques on how to conduct return-to-work interviews are carefully practiced. Participants will create their own plan of action.
  • Participants are consistently provided with insight into the problem of absenteeism among workers.
