The workshop ‘Get healthy by moving more’ teaches participants how much daily physical exercise is required to reap health benefits and how they can achieve the recommended standard for physical activity.
Physical exercise is a healthy lifestyle habit that will help prevent health problems, sickness and absenteeism. Healthy workers are more productive and experience greater job satisfaction. Currently, less than 40% of the population in Belgium gets enough physical exercise. Sitting is the new smoking. Too much sitting can lead to health risks.
The workshop is designed for businesses and organisations who want to improve the vitality and health of their employees and is especially recommended for those with a large percentage of desk workers.
Participants are actively involved in acquiring the necessary knowledge about the positive effects of physical exercise on health. Based on their personal action guide, they will be able to incorporate exercise into their day-to-day life and increase their current level of fitness.
