When stress levels rise, the vitality of your employees becomes even more important. Desk yoga consists of several simple exercises that your employees can easily perform throughout the day to bolster themselves against the negative consequences of workplace stress.

Why?

Desk yoga promotes good posture and strengthens the body, helping to prevent back problems and RSIs (Repetitive Strain Injuries) caused by repetitive movements. The exercises promote balance between the body and the mind and teach employees to be mindful when handling stressful situations. This way they avoid the negative consequences of workplace stress, such as absenteeism and burn-out. 


What do you learn?

We usually provide this training in a conference room where everyone can take a seat at a table or desk. The chair serves as a support during both sitting and standing yoga poses. Employees can participate in their regular clothing. The Desk Yoga training includes the following exercises:

  • Relaxation and breathing exercises;
  • Stretching exercises;
  • Strengthening exercises;
  • Postural exercises;
  • Concentration techniques;
  • Meditation.

The exercises increase your employees’ awareness of their own bodies and make their bodies stronger and more flexible. The breathing exercises teach your employees to breathe in the correct manner. Breathing correctly delivers sufficient oxygen to the brain, so the employees can work calmly and with focus throughout the day.

Digital training material is included in the price. 

If your organisation is affiliated with Mensura External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work (ESPPW) and you have prevention units, you can pay with these as long as your balance is sufficient.
