Why?

If your employees do not feel safe in their working environment, their talents will not come into their own -
and that is a shame.

Your employees need to be able to be themselves in the workplace. They need to realise that it is okay to make mistakes and criticise. This can be done in a safe working environment, where everyone feels valued.

What do you learn?

You work to build an atmosphere of trust, recognising and acknowledging everyone's beliefs and creating space for courage. You will also learn how to apply that knowledge within your team. With a personal plan of action, a useful visual and/or e-book, you continue to build a safe team climate.

Maximum of 12 participants.

1. The importance and characteristics of psychological safety

Do you want to ensure job satisfaction, better performance and increased engagement, innovation and learning in times of rapidly changing collaborations? You can do that if your people feel safe. So fully commit to inclusion, knowledge sharing, acknowledgement/recognition, challenge, and positivity.

2. The concept of 'Psychological safety'

Safety is not a synonym for trust or friendliness. It stems from the belief that you are allowed to take 'risks' in your workplace: speaking your mind, giving feedback, expressing concerns, making mistakes, etc.

3. What makes your team successful?

Do you want to build a ‘dream team’? Then ensure a good balance between performance and psychological safety. The latter requires trust, connection and courage. In other words, care to dare!

4. Our social brain: trust and connecting (care)

You know how important trust and connection are, and how to shape them based on your own preferences and motivations - as well as those of your team members.

5. Social courage: daring and being able to make agreements (dare)

You understand the value of good agreements and look for the necessary common ground to make them. Therefore, you have to create clarity on goals, tasks, roles, priorities, norms, etc.

6. In practice

You use the right facilitation techniques to apply your new insights and plan of action to your team.
