Become an occupational physician (preferably at Mensura 😉)
You don’t wear a Spandex Marvel costume – or even a white coat. And yet, as an occupational physician today, you’re a kind of health and safety hero. There’s certainly no shortage of challenges. There have never been so many people on long-term sick leave, we’ll all have to work longer, and population ageing continues, including at work. Will you join forces with risk prevention advisors and nurses to keep people working longer, healthier and happier? We could really use your superpower!
Having a visible impact on employees’ health – that’s the power of an occupational physician. Do you have a master’s degree in medicine – but don’t yet have a specialist qualification in occupational medicine? You’re more than welcome! Mensura will invest in your training.
What does an occupational physician actually do?
You conduct preventive medical examinations, visit companies and play a part in the work of occupational health and safety committees.
As an advisor, you actively listen to your clients’ problems and get feedback from employees and employers. You develop customised solutions and give targeted advice.
You conduct risk assessments and help develop the overall plan and annual action plan (health factors).
You inform your clients about occupational and work-related illnesses and risk factors.
You’re the key figure on a multidisciplinary team of experts.
What do you get in return?
A varied job as part of a multidisciplinary team in a constantly evolving work environment.
An attractive compensation package including a company car, insurance and a mobile phone. We take work-life balance seriously, so you’ll receive 12 or 18 working time reduction days, which you can choose every year based on your length of employment.
If you study for a specialist qualification in occupational medicine, you’ll receive your full salary but get time off work to attend classes or prepare for exams. Our R&D department will support you when you write your thesis.
The opportunity to learn continuously, including by participating in scientific studies.
An innovative company culture: we invest in new technology, form partnerships with startups and participate in academic research.
‘I get satisfaction as an occupational physician from being able to spot injuries or problems early on. Because with proper intervention, you can spare someone a lot of suffering.’
