Mental wellbeing

Awareness of mental wellbeing is increasing, and that goes for the workplace too. That’s good news, but as an employer, monitoring your employees’ mental health is a significant challenge.

But don’t worry, Mensura is here to help. We start with an assessment and recommend concrete measures at organisational, team and individual level. We identify sources of mental pressure. And we increase the resilience of every employee. This makes mental wellbeing a lasting source of energy, productivity and eagerness to work – not a cause of absenteeism.

Code red: mental health issues deserve attention

    • 7.5% of employees reported mental health issues in 2024, an 80% increase compared to five years earlier.

    • A good third of employees on long-term sick leave suffer from psychosocial problems such as stress, the effects of conflict or unacceptable behaviour, depression, anxiety disorder or trauma

    Our approach to mental wellbeing

To promote mental wellbeing, we use a tailored preventive approach. Two principles are central:

We tailor our approach to your organisation

Every organisation is at a unique point in the development of its wellbeing policy. Some already have extensive initiatives in progress, while others are still at the beginning of the journey. We therefore tailor our approach to your specific situation:

    • Initial phase: we start with a strong legal foundation, so that the basic requirements for mental wellbeing are firmly established.

    • Advanced phase: we build on existing structures and strengthen successful initiatives to stimulate further growth.

Our flexible approach means that our efforts are adapted to your organisation’s needs and will therefore have an impact.

    Resilience is our starting point

We don’t focus purely on areas for improvement: we also consider the strengths within an organisation. By reinforcing these, we help teams cope better with change and challenges.

The ultimate goal? An organisation that can deal with mental challenges independently and resiliently.

    Three steps to lasting results

We initiate a collaborative process that aims for lasting improvements to mental wellbeing within your organisation:

    1. SCAN – In-depth analysis of the current situation

The first step is a thorough evaluation of mental wellbeing within your organisation. One of our tools for doing this is the SONAR method. This online questionnaire gauges employees’ physical and mental experience of their work. The result is a clear overview of psychosocial risks that forms the basis for targeted action.

    2. ADVICE – Working together on practical solutions

Based on the analysis, we make concrete recommendations. This is done in close collaboration: as an employer, you know your organisation best, while we bring external expertise and a fresh perspective. We focus on pragmatic, immediately applicable solutions, with an emphasis on both quick wins and medium- and long-term strategies. By actively involving employees, we ensure support and effective implementation.

    3. ACTION – Implementation and follow-up

Together, we turn the planned actions into concrete steps. You can count on the support of more than 70 experts and selected partners for specific solutions. Our services include the Employee Assistance Program and the training course ‘Mental well-being: detect signals and support employees’, in which managers and team members learn to spot signs of mental health problems in good time and respond appropriately.

After implementation, we evaluate the impact and provide support where needed.
