    In an ideal scenario, trust will be central to your absenteeism policy. Sometimes, though, written procedures aren’t enough to get everyone on the same page.     Checks requested before 11 a.m. will be processed the same day and scheduled as best as possible during the period of absence. We will provide the results of the check the day after it is carried out, before 12 noon.

    What is a medical check?

    Has one of your employees taken sick leave? And do you want to check whether their absence is justified? A can establish whether the unfitness for work is genuine. During the visit, the physician will also evaluate the expected duration of the illness.

    A medical check can help set boundaries and provide clarity about when an absence from work is legitimate.

    In this way, a medical check quickly provides clarity on whether the absence from work is justified. What’s more, medical checks often have a deterrent effect: your employees start to think more about the circumstances in which they take sick leave.

    Why introduce medical checks?

    Medical checks are helpful in several ways:

    A is a delicate matter – we’re well aware of this. Once you’ve requested the check, we will take care of organising it: from scheduling the appointment to the physician’s recommendation and any follow-up actions.
    1. You can request a medical check through Certimed.

    2. We’ll schedule the visit for you. You can choose a home examination or an examination at one of our doctor’s offices. A medical examination can generally be performed at any time during the period of absence, but we will choose the optimal moment in consultation with you.

    3. After the visit, the control physician will draw up a report containing their findings. If there is any disagreement, we’ll arrange a meeting with the employee’s doctor. You will receive the recommendation by midday on the first working day after the examination.
