Your IOHSS annual report: much more than just a requirement
It’s a stressful time that comes round annually for every internal occupational health and safety service (IOHSS): the annual report. Because drawing up this report involves quite a lot of research and calculation work. Leaving aside all the admin, though, the report is above all an opportunity to give your organisation’s risk prevention efforts a boost. At Mensura, we’ll be happy to help you with this.
What is the IOHSS annual report?
Do you employ one or more people? If so, you’re required to draw up an annual report for your internal occupational health and safety service (IOHSS). This provides an overview of all you’re doing for employee well-being, shows the state of your well-being policy and looks ahead at the activities planned for the following year.
You must be able to produce this document if the Federal Public Service for Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue pays you an inspection visit. If you fail to do so or your report is incomplete, you could receive a warning or penalty.
Your risk prevention advisor will usually take care of this task, unless you, as the manager of a small organisation (up to 20 employees), do so yourself. Make a note of this annual deadline in your diary: 31 March.
Mensura can help
The annual report is a tool for making adjustments to your well-being policy and anticipating risks.
Having said that, we understand that you may have little time for extra admin – especially if you’re a small organisation without a full-time risk prevention advisor. If the very thought of legal obligations horrifies you, we can lighten your burden. Bring us in to help you draw up your report, so that it’s available on time and in full.
In our client zone, you can access the official form, an explanatory note for each field, examples of completed reports and handy checklists to ensure you don’t forget anything.
Ask an external risk prevention advisor at Mensura to help. We’ll give you or your internal advisor guidance from start to finish, or simply keep an eye on your progress -whatever you prefer.
During the basic risk prevention advisor training (level III), we take a close look at how to draw up the IOHSS annual report properly.
We’ll provide you with a report on all the activities we’ve carried out for your organisation, so you can add it to the annual report in good time.
Mensura offers various training courses and briefings on drawing up the annual report and how to run an internal risk prevention service in general. This enables you to build up expertise, make your policies more effective and comply with the law at the same time.
