Jürgen Ingels to become the new chairman of Mensura’s Board of Directors

    18 May 2026

Tech entrepreneur Jürgen Ingels is set to become the new chairman of Mensura’s Board of Directors, succeeding Walter De Roey, who held the position for five years.

Jürgen Ingels is best known as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist in the technology sector and the driving force behind the SuperNova technology and innovation festival. He has served as a director at Mensura since 2019.

“Walter De Roey had a very nice tenure as chairman at Mensura. We have grown strongly as a company while remaining independent,” states Gretel Schrijvers, CEO of Mensura. “Walter’s clear vision has made a significant contribution to putting Mensura even more on the map as a partner that helps companies shape their risk prevention and wellbeing policy.

Jürgen Ingels, with his extensive knowledge of sectors and strong network, is the right person to lead us into the future, and tackle both the challenges and opportunities Mensura faces.”

    Wellbeing supported by technology

As he highlights in his book, Start, Grow, Sell: 50 Lessons for Successful Entrepreneurship, Jürgen Ingels sees wellbeing – of both employers and employees – as a foundation for productivity, economic profit, and commercial success.

Jürgen Ingels: “I strongly believe in the importance of wellbeing and risk prevention in the workplace. But companies are not waiting for an occupational health and safety service that merely helps them tick all the legal boxes. They expect expertise in order to devise customised wellbeing policies supported by technology, data, and data protection. As a wellbeing partner, Mensura wants to make the employer’s voice heard even more and match our range of services to the needs of the labour market to the maximum extent possible.”

Jürgen Ingels will be officially appointed as the new chair at the General Assembly on 23 June.
