Killers on the road

In this interactive workshop, you discover the main causes of road deaths: speed, distraction, alcohol, fatigue, not wearing a seat belt, etc. You learn to recognise and avoid risks so that you can make your own driving behaviour safer.

Why?

Human behaviour is at the root of more than 90% of road accidents.

In Belgium:

  • 1 in 3 fatal accidents is due to inappropriate speed,

  • around 50 road deaths each year are caused by distraction from mobile phones,

  • driving under the influence of alcohol claims 150 lives every year.

So continuing to raise drivers’ awareness remains essential. By avoiding unnecessary risks, the number of accidents can already be reduced significantly.
