Why?

PPE is very important in preventing work accidents and/or occupational disease. According to estimates, 90 % of workplace accidents can be prevented by wearing suitable protective equipment. This PPE is an essential part of accident prevention.

It is therefore essential that you, as an employer, are well informed about PPE. This course gives you a thorough grounding. You will learn how to use personal protective equipment and workwear effectively in your company.

What will you learn?

  • Mensura offers you a one-day workshop covering both theoretical and technical knowledge. The information is illustrated with exercises and examples from practice.

  • This training course is for groups of 10 to 20 people.

Result?

  • You will know the legislation on PPE and its technical background and applications.

  • You will be given the tools you need to choose the right PPE and thus manage residual risks.

  • You will learn how to handle personal protective equipment and workwear from a policy perspective in order to communicate and raise awareness around this theme.

For whom?

Are your employees exposed during their work to risks that may lead to work accidents and/or occupational disease? As an employer, you are legally required to identify occupational risks and take the appropriate measures to prevent them as far as possible.

What is stipulated by law?

As an employer, you are legally obligated to provide personal protective equipment. Moreover, the law requires you to train your employees properly.

Are you a supervisor? Then the law requires you to ensure that personal protective equipment is used correctly and to regularly check that all equipment is still in good condition.

As an employee, you are responsible for wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment correctly. Note that you can always consult your organisation's risk prevention advisor for advice and information on correct use.

The cost depends on the way you follow the training.

If your organisation is affiliated with Mensura External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work (EDPB), you have prevention units and your balance is sufficient, you can use these to pay.
