You will learn to recognise the dangers of electricity and take appropriate action.
You will know what to do in the event of an electrical accident, such as an electric shock or an overheating installation.

The course is for anyone who is exposed to the dangers of electricity, such as maintenance employees, painters, and technicians.
What does the law say?
As an employer, you are required to issue a certificate of competence for each employee who comes into contact with minor and major electrical works and installations. You, the employer, can use these certificates of competence to demonstrate that your employees are capable of and have sufficient knowledge in working on or near electrical installations.
A certificate of competence for working on electrical installations has two levels:
BA4 Informed Person
This certificate applies to employees who could possibly come into contact with electrical installations but do not carry out work on these installations themselves. This means they must only carry out non-electrical tasks, or minor alterations under the supervision of a competent employee.BA5 Competent Person
This certificate applies to employees who personally work on or with electrical installations, or who supervise works carried out by informed persons (BA4). Examples of competent persons are engineers or technicians.
As well as the training certificate for BA4 or BA5, it is also important that you – the employer – draw up a risk analysis for the electrical installation(s) in order to be able to issue a conclusive certificate of competence.
