More and more people are teleworking but a fire can still occur even there. It is important to take preventive measures against fire and to be able to respond appropriately should a fire break out. This course will prepare you for a fire-safe working environment at home.

There is a maximum of 25 participants. This course is offered via MS Teams.

You want a healthy work environment at home as well. Our ‘Healthy and productive homeworking’ training course will teach you how to work from home ergonomically, energetically, mentally healthy, and productively.
Results?
After completing this training course, you will be able to respond appropriately in the event of a fire at home, a different type of work environment than your usual workplace.
For whom?
This course is intended for teleworkers.
What does the law say?
Organisations that had already drafted a working from home policy before 1 January 2021 do not need to take any action. All other organisations for which working from home is possible are now obliged to develop and implement a working from home policy.
The aim of the working from home policy is to both monitor productivity and guarantee the well-being of employees. For example, agreements must be made about:

1 year access to the training and all content is included in the price.
If your organisation is affiliated with Mensura External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work (ESPPW) and you have prevention units, you can pay with these as long as your balance is sufficient.

Is het verplicht een brandbestrijdingsdienst op te richten?
Ja, elke werkgever is verplicht om een eigen brandbestrijdingsdienst te hebben.
Zo’n dienst bestaat uit een aantal medewerkers die efficiënt kunnen optreden bij brandgevaar. Hoeveel werknemers je hebt, speelt geen rol. Er moet altijd één persoon van de dienst aanwezig zijn.
Een risicoanalyse bepaalt uit hoeveel medewerkers zo’n brandbestrijdingsdienst bestaat: afhankelijk van de grootte van je bedrijf, het soort activiteiten en het brandrisico.
Wie moet een brandopleiding volgen in mijn organisatie?
Binnen elke organisatie moeten een aantal medewerkers efficiënt kunnen optreden bij brandgevaar, de brandpreventiedienst. De leden volgen een gerichte opleiding, met een theoretisch en een praktijk luik. Ze leren er meewerken aan een risicoanalyse, ingrijpen bij beginnende brand en een evacuatie correct en snel uit te voeren.
Alle overige werknemers moeten op de hoogte gebracht worden van mogelijke brandrisico’s, het alarmsignaal, wat te doen bij brand en hoe te evacueren.
As an employer, are you allowed to organise fire safety training yourself?
Yes, as an employer, you are allowed to organise fire safety training yourself. Please note, however, that you are then personally responsible for ensuring that the training is sufficiently in-depth and practical, and that the necessary refresher training is provided.
