Who am I?

Having everyone involved and aware is the key to safety on the workfloor.

How can I be so sure? In the logistics sector, I have learned to stand my ground and hone my communication and social skills. As a result, I place high value on independence and a sense of responsibility – these are the skills you need in every organisation.

I enjoy working with and providing support to companies that focus on the human aspect of their operations. Together, we ensure that everyone feels welcome, safe and helped. Whether it’s a work colleague, customer or visitor.

What do I do to relax? Walking and travelling with my family.

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn!" Ben Franklin

Expertise

People say that I am punctual and punctilious in the way I work. You also have to be that way if you want to work on process optimisation projects. And get started on setting up, managing and optimising management systems according to ISO 9001 and 14001. Then you’ll really have to put all your feelers out.

Experience

In 1998 I began working in the claims and customer department at Hödlmayr Logistics Belgium.

While I was there, I became an internal prevention adviser level 2 and person responsible for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE), a role that I held there from 2010.

In the end, I moved to Mensura in 2019 as prevention specialist work safety.

Degrees

My basic qualification is a business bachelor’s in secretariat management – languages. Over the years, I have developed this further through a whole series of courses:

  • Process optimisation
  • Internal auditor ISO 9001:2015
  • Internal auditor ISO 14001:2015
  • Internal confidential counsellor
  • Prevention adviser level 2
  • Total quality management

Courses

Which courses are of value for lots of organisations? I’m happy to give two tips: be sure to look for ‘Prevention Adviser’ (basic and refresher) and ‘Confidential Counsellor’ (basic and refresher).
