Risk prevention advisor - level 2 specialisation module
In this practice-based specialisation module, you build further on your knowledge and skills in the field of wellbeing and safety in the workplace. Delivered by lecturers working in the field and based on real-life cases. Anyone who successfully completes the training session receives the level 2 certificate.
Why?
Every organisation with 20 or more employees must appoint a risk prevention advisor. From this role, you map out a health policy for your organisation and draw up a Global Prevention Plan and an Annual Action Plan. In this training session you specialise in occupational safety, ergonomics, hygiene and psychosocial and physical health.
If you pass the basic and specialisation modules and the oral and written exams and group assignments, you will receive the official level 2 risk prevention advisor certificate.

Entry requirements
To start the specialisation module for level 2 risk prevention advisor, you must have successfully completed the 'basic module'.
What will you learn?
In this interactive training session, we alternate theory with practical exercises, individually or in groups. You learn hands-on what your tasks are and how best to carry them out. To prepare you for industry 4.0*, we also address technical innovations and new safety risks.

Result
After this specialisation module, you can officially start work in various companies as a level 2 risk prevention advisor. You will also have extensive knowledge of the legal framework, your role as a risk prevention advisor and various technical and communication skills.
After completing this course:
you have acquired the basic knowledge of wellbeing and safety at work through the multidisciplinary basic module.
you are aware of wellbeing legislation and all aspects of a practice-based wellbeing policy within your company.
you can identify, assess and safeguard risks individually or in groups.
you can roll out a risk prevention policy pragmatically, systematically and in a structured way.
Does your organisation have 20 employees or fewer?
If so, as the business owner you can take on the role of risk prevention advisor yourself. To do this, you can follow the training session 'Risk prevention advisor – basic level (level 3)'.
For whom?
Anyone who wants to obtain the ‘Risk prevention advisor level 2’ certificate and holds a certificate of higher secondary education or higher secondary courses, as well as the certificate for the basic module for level 2 risk prevention advisor:
Level 3 prevention advisors who want to deepen their knowledge of safety and wellbeing.
Employees who are allowed by their company to take level 2 training and who will be head of the internal occupational health and safety service in a group B company.
Employees who are allowed by their company to take level 2 training in order to act as deputy to a level 1 prevention advisor in a group A company.
What is stipulated by law?
By law, as a prevention advisor you must have the necessary knowledge of wellbeing at work: risk assessment, the coordination of risk prevention activities and the operation of the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPPW).
The required level of knowledge – 1, 2 or 3 – depends on the size of the company on the one hand and the risks employees face on the other. Based on these criteria, companies are divided into 4 categories: A, B, C and D.
