Visit prior to returning to work (informal reintegration meeting)
Make a smoother return to work possible for all your employees. A voluntary and informal reintegration meeting with the occupational physician will make them aware of the possibilities.
A visit prior to returning to work is a non-binding and confidential discussion between an employee who has been on long-term sick leave and the occupational physician. We can help you to make this open dialogue possible.

Why choose an informal reintegration meeting?
- Easy to arrange: a non-binding meeting at the employee’s request, without all the paperwork of a formal reintegration process.
- Clarification and advice: the occupational physician listens, gives advice and looks at the possibilities for a feasible return together with the employee.
A visit prior to returning to work is very useful if there is already a good understanding between you and your employee. It provides an informal insight into all the possibilities for ensuring a successful return to the workplace, without any pressure or obligations.
What is an informal reintegration meeting?
A visit prior to returning to work is an informal, voluntary and confidential meeting between an employee who has been on long-term sick leave and the occupational physician. Only the employee themselves can request it.
During this meeting, the occupational physician discusses:
the employee’s medical situation
factors that enable or stand in the way of a return to work
advice on a feasible return to work – possibly with modifications
It is intended as an open reflection that focuses on well-being, without any formal obligations or consequences. Based on the occupational physician’s advice, a meeting can be arranged with the employer to see whether a return to work is possible (with or without modifications).
How does Mensura help in practice?
A listening ear from the occupational physician: the employee is able to explain the situation in complete confidentiality and receive personal advice on the various possibilities for returning to work.
Medical and professional advice: the occupational physician looks at whether a return to work is possible – with or without a modified set of tasks.
Neutral intermediary: the occupational physician acts as an advisory and independent party between your employee and yourself.
