Thanks to your enhanced understanding of ergonomic principles, you know how to care for and move persons in need of care safely and responsibly, with respect for your own body and their comfort.
After this course, you will know:
How to recognise ergonomic risks in your care tasks and act accordingly.
How to carry out some basic handling and moving techniques.
The basic principles of self-care.
How to limit physical demand by adjusting your working methods.
For whom?
The course is aimed at caregivers (in hospitals, residential care centres, centres for people with disabilities, rehabilitation centres, home care, etc.) but also at care workers in training.
What is stipulated by law?
Codex Book VIII Title 3: Manual handling of loads
Book VIII of the Welfare Act describes all provisions related to the manual handling of loads, including the employer’s responsibilities (including working methods, risk management, and training).
ISO-TR 12296: Manual handling of patients
This standard suggest a science-based approach to the risks associated with handling/moving. There are four steps: inventory, analysis, control, and evaluation.

The cost depends on the way you follow the training.
If your organisation is affiliated with Mensura External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work (EDPB), you have prevention units and your balance is sufficient, you can use these to pay.
